The Afghani Strategic Alliance
Afghanistan is a nation composed of 70 different people groups who have survived decades of war, poverty and oppression. Since the overthrow of the Taliban in 2001, the people of Afghanistan have stepped closer to freedom and development. Women have the opportunity to receive an education and creative culture is returning.
Still, 84% of the people in Afghanistan have never heard the gospel and many live in poverty and fear of violence. This is a time to pray and act so that Afghans would come to know the God of peace.
Opportunities:
- Artists: Paint murals, take pictures and teach art classes.
- Teaching & Training: English teachers, children's teachers, teacher training, and health care education/seminars.
- Help small Afghan businesses take off and sell Afghan merchandise.
- Communications/Networking: Connecting the workers in Afghanistan, sharing stories and facilitating prayer.
